My Digital Shadow: A Self Read From Data

A social-impact project I coordinated under the ÜNİDES 6th Term program, supported by Turkey's Ministry of Youth and Sports, reaching 200 young people in Van and Ankara through cybersecurity training, digital privacy awareness, and traditional Anatolian-motif art workshops.

My Digital Shadow: A Self Read From Data

About the Project

"My Digital Shadow: A Self Read From Data" is a social-impact project realized under the ÜNİDES 6th Term program, supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, within the Technology Community and under the mentorship of Mevlüt İnan. As project coordinator, I led an initiative that connected pressing issues of our era — digital footprint, data awareness, and digital identity — with cultural heritage, art, and aesthetics, reaching 200 young people across Van and Ankara over one month.

Timeline

April 21 — Van A cybersecurity and digital privacy training was held at the Innovan Entrepreneurship Application and Research Center, with online participation from the Information Technologies and Internet Security Association (BTİDER), covering cyberbullying prevention, safe internet use, and digital privacy.

April 23 — Van An Anatolian (Rumi) motif art workshop was held at RUMİ, blending traditional art with digital awareness. Participants transformed their own anonymized digital data into canvas artworks, bracelets, and figure paintings, turning digital privacy into a tangible experience.

April 28 — Ankara Seminars and workshops were held at Şehit Ümit Çoban Youth Center in collaboration with BTİDER.

Outcomes

  • 10 original canvases and 20 figure paintings produced
  • An AI-assisted representative social media account created to visualize data inference
  • Reached 200 young people across 2 cities with 5 stakeholders
